CHI GONG (1350):
Chi Gong is an excellent method of reducing stress (physical and mental) and promoting happiness (inner harmony). This ancient Chinese practice means exercise with your vital energy or breathing exercise. While there are many different schools and styles of Chi Gong, we will learn the Tai Chi Chi Gong Exercises Eighteen Ways. These are slow, flowing movements that coordinate breathing, body position and mental activity. They promote strength, balance and rejuvenation. In just moments of practice a day you can learn to shift your mental and physical state. We will also explore other methods of movement and stillness using breath, sounding, guided imagination and spontaneous movement. Practice is done in any comfortable clothing suitable for free movement on the floor and in standing. No shoes allowed in the gymnastics studio. BODY-MIND (1400):

In this course, you will learn how deep breathing, meditation, creative
visualization and awareness of your self-talk can enhance the quality
of your life. Each class includes a peaceful progressive relaxation
exercise to assist you in learning to release tension and stress from
your body and mind. You will be introduced to diverse topics such
as; exploration of your response to the senses, therapeutic aromatherapy,
massage, energy therapies and yoga. We will discuss illness and wellness
and how recent research demonstrates that thoughts and feelings directly
and profoundly affect the body chemistry and function. Classes will

MOVEMENT, MUSIC
AND MEDITATION (1402):
This class is designed to awaken and reinforce the power of our own
presence, which can only be done in the present moment. We will use
various yoga and movement exercises to tune into our bodies, and we
will engage in ancient meditation practices to calm our over-active
minds. We will be supported by enlivening inspirational music as we

The Art of Living YESplus workshop is about living the life you want to live, and innovative & practical tools
with which to do it. This six-session seminar provides you with powerful techniques for deep relaxation and meditation,
giving you a dynamic and clear state of mind. You will also learn and experience practical knowledge to handle emotions,
difficult situations, and their effects on your state of mind. The course is energizing, extremely rejuvenating,

LIVING ROUTINES

Once a week you will participate in a health routine. After a short
brisk walk, (inside in poor weather) you will engage in an energizing
stretching session, followed by a short meditation. In addition to
being introduced to stretching and meditation, the class will offer
you the opportunity to get to know your classmates through partnered
self awareness exercises and group sharing. Classes will meet:

WELLNESS WEEKEND

Wellness Weekend offers students an opportunity to learn skills and
techniques to support body-mind health, in an educational atmosphere.
The presentation of experiential activities is enhanced by information
and discussion of mind-body health, optimal functioning of musculoskeletal
system including basic anatomical information, and current research.
Class activites include kinesthetic awareness enhancement exercises,
discussion of common portural habits and techniques to promote optimal
biomechanical function, Eastern and Western self-massage techniques,
use of simple bodywork tools,and stretching, strengthening,and awareness practices.

WALKING MEDITATION
(1273):
This course combines walking and meditation, two Life enhancing activities
that can help students create balance in their hectic lives. Walking
is the optimum execise for optimum health and meditation one the chance
to calm an active and busy mind. Drawing on the teachings from the
Vietnamese Zen Buddist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh, we will learn how to
meditate in motion. Classes will meet:

INTRO TO MASSAGE

This course will provide an experiential introduction to several types
of massage. Included are Swedish, Shiatsu, Polarity, and Sports Massage.
Class members will participate in group exercises and practice on
each other during class time. All exercises and techniques can be

SHIATSU MASSAGE

In this class, students will gain practical experience of the body
as an energy system. They will learn movements, yoga stretches, breathing
and meditative awareness exercises that promote relaxation and centering
in their bodies. Students will then learn and practice a variety of
shiatsu massage techniques that can be used in both self-massage and
in giving shiatsu to others. The use of acupressure points for various
ailments (headache, backache and any other ailments of concern to
the students) will be covered. The course will be a mixture between
exercises, self-help technique and hands-on massage techniques. Classes

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Learn to give a relaxing, stress-reducing Swedish Massage. You will
master the basic strokes of Swedish Massage and learn about their
application to the different parts of the body. Students will use

THAI MASSAGE

Thai massage is a holistic, intuitive style of healing from the East.
It encourages the flow of energy through the Receiver's body that
promotes good health. The person giving Thai massage uses his/her
hands and feet supported by his/her body weight to apply pressure
along the energy channels that run through the Receiver's body. The
assisted yoga stretches are a popular aspect of this modality. Classes

WEEKEND MASSAGE
WORKSHOP (1415): FEE: $ 145.00
This introductory course in massage is taught in an intensive, weekend
workshop format. It includes sessions on Friday evening and Saturday
and Sunday during the day. Students will be introduced to massage
skills and techniques and will practice on each other in a structured
and supervised format. Basics of touch awareness, palpation skills,
and techniques from Swedish and oriental (shiatsu) massage will be
taught. Students will learn to massage the back, shoulders, neck,
legs, feet, arms and hands to reduce stress. Professional massage
tables will be used. Classes will meet:

SWEDISH AND

Swedish massage will be the common denominator as we explore multiple
techniques to release stress and tightness in our bodies. We will
have a bit of a sampler, with emphasis on understanding mechanisms
of stress and how to interrupt patterns of movement that might be
problematic over time. We will dabble in aromatherapy, The Trager
Approach ®, reflexology, and massage with movement, to name a
few. No prereq required. Classes will meet:

INTRODUCTION

This course provides the opportunity to explore a variety of ancient
and modern methods designed to bring one to the state of meditation.
The methods serve to evoke the deep relaxation from which heightened
awareness and creativity arise. If these classes do not fit your schedule,

RELAXATION AND
STRESS MANAGEMENT (1421):
This course offers a mind/body approach to gaining realization and
managing the stress in our lives. Participants will leave this course
with a greater understanding and appreciation of their own unique
ways of coping with stressful situations. We will explore a variety
of techniques which can be used to ease the pressures of student life.
A sample of these activities includes; stretching (Yoga), creative

TThis course is designed to assist you in learning to meditate, or
to deepen your existing practice. As you learn to practice meditation
and relaxation exercises, you will find that as little as 15 minutes
a day can benefit your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
With some assistance, we are all capable of learning to relax deeply,
sleep better, detach from the mind's chatter, focus with renewed concentration
and become aware of the joy and energy that is deep within us.If these
